Justice James Wakiaga granted Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu bail. Jowie is the main suspect in the brutal murder of businesswoman Monicah Kimani.

The court freed Jowie on bail of Ksh 2m or a bond of Ksh 3m.

The problem is, Jowie cannot raise that cash bail. His sister, Nelius Irungu has stepped in and she is asking for your help.

In a social media post, the family of Jowie requested for the help of Kenyans to raise funds for his bail.

"HE HAS BEEN GRANTED BAIL BY THE COURT WHICH AMOUNTS TO Ksh 2 million. WE ARE KINDLY REQUESTING FOR YOUR HELP IN THIS TIME OF NEED. YOU CAN SEND WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO PAYBIL 600100 AND THE ACCOUNT NUMBER IS 0100005024484 STANBIC BANK. THE ACCOUNT BELONGS TO HIS SISTER NELIUS IRUNGU."

Joe Muchiri added, "‪For those who can 🙏🏽🙏🏽 anything will be appreciated."
