25-year-old university student Allan Wadi who was handed a two year jail term for insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta on social media has been freed on appeal. 

Mr. Wadi Okengo alias lieutenant Wadi was convicted of hate speech and sending incitement messages on social media. (Read the story below)

It was also alleged that the Moi Univeristy Student was psychologically tortured and bullied into admitting the offense.

Wadi has now been set free by the High court after six months in jail. He was freed after a successful appeal by his team.
