Beyonce vs Akothee

Akothee is one artiste who can pull crowds.

She is versatile. Her performance is above average. She can sing and dance for hours compared to many of her Kenyan counterparts who spend only an hour on stage.

Last weekend, Akothee brought Malindi to a standstill while performing at Paparemo Beach Resort. She gave an electrifying performance, leaving revellers yearning for more. She was dressed in a white bodysuit, nude tights, and high heel white boots. The singer pulled several risquée stunts on stage that critics bashed her for.

She trended on social media with many calling her out, claiming she was a poor role model to the youth. She responded to critics saying she was no one’s role model.

Well, people should understand Akothee is a performer and is expected to be at the top of her game when she takes to the stage. Who would hire a boring artiste to perform at his or her event? They invest a lot in events and expect to make profit in return.
Akothee is not the only female artiste to dress skimpily on stage and pull stunts. Global superstars like Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, just to mention a few, do the same. Below are times world stars left little to the imagination while performing.

SHE HAS MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT SHE IS NOT A ROLE MODEL FOR ANYONE. SHE JUST DOES AKOTHEE, SO LET HER BE. YOU DON’T LIKE HER STUFF OR HER BRAND, DON’T FOLLOW HER.
