The ongoing illicit brew crackdown has brought about a host of changes. No substandard alcoholic drink will be in the market. This however, will only happen if the government and its enforcement agencies do their job well.

There has been misconduct in some parts of Nairobi and other parts of the country as youth went around looting legitimate alcohol outlets. KBL issued a press statement condemning the raiding of its outlets despite the fact that this activity aims to eradicate only second generation alcoholic drinks.

Hospitals in Murang'a have been filled with alcoholic patients who are suffering from withdrawal syndromes. This means that the medical facilities now have to spend more than allocated so that they accommodate the affected.

However, there's always the positive side of everything. The men in the county will no longer get thorough be looked down on by their wives for under-performing in bed. Their libido will be boosted, literally. We should now expect an influx of pregnant women in the town. We should also expect more hardworking men in the county in the near future.

This is all thanks to President Uhuru for initializing the war against illicit brew and closely monitoring progress.
