Jackline Mwende, the 28-year old lady from Machakos who hogged headlines after her limbs were chopped off by her husband because she was barren, has welcomed a baby boy!

Media reports indicate that she put to bed at Machakos Level 5 Hospital on Monday, March 20 after being transferred from Masii Level 3 Hospital where she had earlier been admitted.

Mwende, who received a house from a German pharmaceutical organization a few months ago, is now a mother after undergoing a successful Caesarean section.

She shied shied away from speaking to reporters who visited her shortly after she delivered at the health facility. Some reports indicate that Mwende has since been discharged.

Susan Musyoka, the Woman Representative for Machakos County, confirmed the good news adding that she should be given privacy at this time.
