Amepita mtihani! Saumu Mbuvi praises her mother-in-law who's an ambulance driver

Saumu Mbuvi is one of the few women who love their mothers-in-law. Yaani, one in a million.

The Nairobi county governor's daughter is dating Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip and loves his mother.

Anwar's mother Mohamed Heri was the special guest on Citizen TV's Mwanamke Bomba (Strength of a woman) segment on Tuesday. Heri, ambulance driver (operator) talked about her job.

The senator's mother, who has been an ambulance driver for more than 30 years said,

I started working in Lamu in 1984 and later was posted to Mombasa. I was then transferred to Laikipia, where I worked at the Laikipia general hospital and came back to Lamu. I will still do this job (driving an ambulance) until I retire.

She said her career was inspired by the challenges she saw sick people go through.

I've worked at this station (her current workplace) for ten years alone as a driver until recently when they brought in another driver.

Heri said the job has challenges just like any other but she's a strong woman.

I love my job so much.

Speaking about her senator son, Anwar, she said,

We as a community elected him to work for us and as a driver, I also have to help the community. Anwar helps me but I cannot stop doing my work. He has begged me to stop working but I can't. Amesomeshwa na hii ambulance.

Saumu took to social media to praise her mother-in-law describing her as inspiration.
