Little is known about the late heir of Keroche Breweries, Tecra Muigai. She worked really hard for her anonymity and for it to remain that way.

Tecra breathed her last on May 2, 2020 after an accident at home. May she rest in peace.

Here are five things you did not know about Tecra.

1. She is one of the four children who are scions of business tycoons Joseph and Tabitha Karanja. Tecra is the youngest daughter, her other siblings are James Karanja, Anerlisa Muigai and Edward Muigai.

2. Tecra studied abroad - UK and Italy - and came back to Kenya to apply her skills.

3. Just like her dad, Joseph, Tecra loves staying away from the limelight. Her elder sister, Anerlisa Muigai has revealed that her Tecra, hates unwarranted publicity. This includes taking photos or selfies with her very Insta-famous sis.

“My sister is so cold towards me. When we walk together then she sees a lot of people, she always leaves me like somebody she doesn’t know. (That is always embarrassing to me btw). She also introduces me as her friend lol, the worst is when she denies me. She just hates the spotlight and that is why I don’t post her on my page even if it’s a family photo,” wrote Anerlisa.

4. Tecra was involved in the family business. Her dad and mum held top positions at Keroche Breweries. According to a press statement sent out by the company, Tecra also held an equally important role.

"Ms. Tecra Muigai is the daughter of the Keroche Breweries Chairman, Joseph Karanja and the CEO, Mrs Tabitha Karanja. Until her death she worked as the Strategy and Innovation Director at Keroche Breweries."

5. Before her sudden death, Tecra was set to unveil new products at Keroche Breweries.

The press statement read,

"Tecra's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of important innovations that have enriched the company's product range including the development of new brands that were scheduled to be launched this year.
