Ever wanted something so bad that you can't breathe? It is literally all you can think of.

Well, according to renowned media personality, author, and human rights activist Janet Mbugua, then you probably should not have it.

At least at that particular time.

Sharing to her Instagram page, the former news anchor shared a behind-the-scenes conversation that she had with her video director Mos where she went into detail about why she feels wanting something so badly sometimes is a "bad" thing.

"Mos, you know what I have been thinking... I have been thinking about... I feel like when you truly want something so badly, you probably shouldn't have it," started off the mother of 2.

"For now," she added responding to her videographer who quipped, "at that particular time,"

Expounding on her sentiments and why she strongly felt so Janet highlighted that when a particular thing fully

"Wanting things is not bad, it is part of our value system to desire. To go, 'I'd really love to have that job' or 'I'd really want to pursue this relationship' I'm talking about being obsessed with it, wanting it so badly that it occupies every second of your mind.

You are thinking about it every second of your mind, you are thinking about, all the time, having it, you want it so badly!" Explained the seasoned media personality.

She went on to add;

"I know it sounds very cold turkey to say you probably shouldn't have it but as I think about it, and the things I desire... I have learned to ask myself, why do you really want it? And what happens when you don't get it?

What does that do to you when you don't get it? It crashes you, and isn't that a problem. So at the end of the day, should you really have it?"

Responding to what his client had said Mos noted that he believed that ambition was something good as it pushes people however, to some extent he agrees with Janet. When one truly wants something, there are high chances they might end up fumbling it.

"You want to have that thing so bad and that is what gives you the energy and passion to put in the work but there are things that are so good that if they happen at the time when we need them so badly we might not be able to handle them.

Then it happens later on and you look back and you are I'm glad it didn't happen then."

Do you agree with their sentiments?
