Zari Hassan recently visited the grave of her late ex-husband Ivan Semwanga. Don as he was popularly known, passed away in 2017 May while undergoing treatment at Steve Biko hospital in South Africa. On 31st May, he was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Nakaliro village in Kayunga district, Uganda.

Zari and Ivan had three sons together who are now all grown.

Zari shared a photo of Ivan accompanied by an emotional message. She confessed that she misses him and promised to take his sons to Uganda this December for the first time after berrying him.

Passed by to see you but didn’t find anyone home, they all out at church to praise the Lord. Miss you Don. Sleep well till we meet again. Will bring boys along in December.

This is the second time Zari was visiting Ivan's grave. She vowed to visit his grave anytime she's in Uganda.

During Ivan's first anniversary a few months ago, his children shared touching tributes to honour him. His last born son Quincy's message read:

ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE YOU LEFT US DAD. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT BIG SPECIAL SMILE OF YOURS, YOUR CARING HEART, THE WARM HUGS YOU ALWAYS GAVE US. YOU BEING THERE FOR MOM AND US THROUGH GOOD AND BAD TIMES NO MATTER WHAT. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU DAD BECAUSE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ONE TO REPLACE YOU IN MY HEART AND THE LOVE I WILL ALWAYS HAVE FOR YOU. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER IVAN DON CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE 🙏🙏.
