Zari has written an emotional message to her late mother Mrs. Halima Hassan.

She wrote:

One of the most respected moms on this planet. Even in her final resting place. She is MVP. We love you ma. #Parent #Respect.

The businesswoman's mother died in 2017 barely two months after her husband Ivan Ssemwanga passed away.

In July 2017, she suffered a heart attack and died while receiving treatment at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. Mrs Hassan has always been praised by her children specifically Zari, even in death.
