There is nothing in this world as sweet as 'eating' from your own toil. It's very enjoyable and gives one peace of mind knowing that you don't have to rely on someone else's sweat for a living. However, there exists some of us who really enjoy reaping where they did not sow. But there is a place specifically set up for such characters, where they end up cooling their heels for their wickedness. That place is called prison, or even worse, the grave!!!

Now, Matuga (Kwale County) MP Hassan Mwanyoha, has surprised many after he showed full support for a court decision to send his son to the gallows. It has been reported that his son, Mafanikio Mwanyoha, was a known robber, who terrorised residents and had been in and out of jail several times after being arrested for robbery.

In the latest development, Mafanikio had been in remand for months while waiting for the court ruling after he was accused of robbery with violence in 2015. He was remanded after failing to secure a Sh2million bond as directed by the court. Reports have it that, throughout the hearing of the case, no family member (including the MP) was ever present.

Addressing the media, the MP said that his son was an adult and therefore culpable for his misdeeds. Kwale Woman Rep, Zainabu Chidzuga supported the MP's move to accept the court ruling which stated that his son be hanged. She said that the legislator was setting a good example on how the society should be.

In 2015, Mafanikio alongside Hussein Hassan, were arrested in connection to a violent robbery, where Peter Shadowsky was robbed of Sh14,625 and a cellphone among other personal documents.
