Flashy politician Mike Sonko's first-born daughter Saumu Mbuvi has been keeping a low profile since giving birth.

Saumu and Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip welcomed their first child, a baby girl in early March this year. The couple is in love and the Governor's daughter seems settled after leaving her abusive ex-lover Ben Gatu.

'WE STARTED AS FRIENDS AND DATED FOR NINE MONTHS AND WE BROKE UP WHEN I WAS HEAVILY PREGNANT. HE USED TO BEAT ME AND AFTER SHARING WITH PALS I WENT TO MY DAD AND TOLD HIM I COULDN’T TAKE IT MORE. I TOLD HIM ‘I KNOW I HAVE WRONGED YOU,’ AND HE ACCEPTED ME BACK AS A FATHER,' she said while talking about her abusive relationship.
