'The pain in our hearts can't be measured, you've left with a piece of our hearts,' Dr Adisa's parents mourn

A husband who loses a wife is called a widower. A wife who loses a husband is called a widow. A child who loses his parents is called an orphan, but there is no word/name for a parent who loses a child.

Dr Doreen Adisa Lugaliki's parents are mourning her death.

The experienced doctor was admitted at Aga Khan University hospital on Monday, July 5 at

10 pm, and diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA).

On Wednesday 7th, her condition deteriorated after testing positive for Covid-19 and was transferred to the ICU where she succumbed to complications arising from Covid-19 on the morning of July 10.
