The life of an average Kenyan celebrity off camera is less highlighted and that’s exactly what I’ll do right now. Beyond the red carpet glamour and their appearances on TV, there is the other side of them that no one else knows. Kenyan celebrities lead interesting lives that many of us want to achieve by working so hard.
I talked to Kiss 100’s Adelle Onyango on how her day is like; from the time she wakes up to the time she goes back to bed. The radio presenter has quite an interesting schedule, something you wouldn’t expect.
I: What time do you wake up?
Adelle: I wake up at 7 am.
I: What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Adelle: I try to meditate every morning for at least 10 minutes and after that turn on my favorite series to blast as I get ready.
I: What’s the most important thing you do to prepare for your show?
Adelle: If I told you, I’d have to kill you so… (giggles)
I: How is your rest of the day like?
Adelle: Very dynamic. Sometimes I have shoots, sometimes it’s back-to-back meetings, sometimes I’m meeting clients, sometimes my boss and I are going over my show and sometimes…sometimes I get to go do my hair or go shopping!
I: What do you do apart from your daily show, say….. in the evening?
Adelle: In the evening? I’m either trying to prep for the next day’s show, but I find it important to have me-time and also time for my family.
