The Kenyan fashion industry has gradually evolved over the last few years. Many employment opportunities have been created. From musicians to sportsmen, none of them wants to lag behind when it comes to latest clads. They always have cameras on their track wherever they go and this means they have to be at their best when it comes to dressing since they never know when the paparazzi cameras will catch up with them.

Locally most celebrities especially footballers have upped their game in the fashion sector. Those from Eastlands always beat their counterparts from upcountry hands down when it comes to fashion and latest trending clad.

I hooked up with one of the fashionistas; Alvin "Alvo" Odero who dresses most of our local celebrities. The young lad who has a boutique in Nairobi West is living proof that hard work pays. Top celebrities such as Willy Paul, Eric Omondi, David the Student, Nonini, Khaligraph and football unsung heroes; Meddie Kagere, Daniel Sserunkuma, and Godfrey Walusimbi are among the celebrities he dresses.

They always flood his shop just to purchase the latest trends and if you happen to visit his boutique every evening especially on weekends you will be able to meet top Kenyan celebrities there. Also, many fans always hang around the shop just to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrities.
