The level of security in Kenya has deteriorated. Actor Kenneth Magawe is one of the many Kenyans who has lost their lives to street thugs.

On Saturday night while going home to Kasarani he met his death in the most vilest of ways.

Kenneth was killed by thugs while on his way home on Saturday January 30, 2021.

A pal of his announced the sad news.

My colleague, great actor Ken Magawe was sadly killed last night at Kasarani Santon. Met with two thugs on his way home who stabbed him to death. Am so heartbroken 😭😭😭

Another fellow actor, Victor Nyaata, wrote on his Facebook,

I was priviledged to Act alongside you Kenneth...we were a powerful combo. Just being informed that you were stabbed repeatedly, in cold blood last night. Its unbelievable...its unfathomable."

Adding,

"We had a signature joke 'Maharage' which we laughed about ever since. We had so much to walk into in this this career, but your journey suddenly has come to a halt. Go easy Kenneth Magawe and may God Crown you in Heaven."

Here are more heartfelt condolences to the talented theatre actor.

Junizzy JuBlack wrote, "I woke up a sad man.... Someone stabbed my friend Kenneth Magawe to death last night on his way home, hapo tu Sunton... 😪😭😭my friend since 2013 just passed. Arrgh it was only a couple weeks ago you were singing me a tune you eagerly wanted to record with me... Damn. Am so shocked. We lost another great actor manze... Ah rest in all the peace bro."

Veronica Mwaura wrote, "Another great loss to the theatre fraternity REST IN PEACE Kenneth Magawe. Our sincere condolences to the family,friends,Liberty Arts,Jicho 4, Theatrix .. May God grant you inner peace at this trying time.It is not well."

Cinema and theatre break show penned a tribute too.

"Heart Condolences to the family, friends and thespians for the loss of Actor Kenneth Magawe. Ken was a vibrant actor and always made people, friends around him happy. Ken was a father and a dream that the theatre and Cinema industry was waiting to get more from. May his soul rest in perfect peace."

Setbook Nation has lost another soul on his way home from work.

A thespian from Jicho four production and former Liberty and Theatrix among other groups he had been, was attacked by thugs in Kasarani, Santon area in Nairobi.

Not the case here though but its something productions should look into especially in traveling theatre.

"Today,we mourn a fallen Comrade; a Highly Talented Young Man, Kenneth Magawe, who served, Educated and Entertained Thousands in Kenyan High Schools,through performances of School Set Books.

He was a highly respected Artiste whom most Producers and Directors as well as Fellow Artistes affirm he was a great talent to reckon with and was a pleasure working with.
