Cosmetic surgery has become a very common procedure for women and now even men are adopting it.

We woke up to the sad news courtesy of The Star of Julie Wanza who dies after a breast augmentation surgery went wrong.

Her, intestines were cut which led to all the waste seeping out and spreading inside the stomach. That caused an infection called sepsis.

This is a scare to many celebrity women who have had cosmetic surgery done on them. Anerlisa Muigai who suffered from a complication based on her liposuction a while back. She was admitted after she collapsed and went through a surgery after being diagnosed with pancreatitis.

Other celebrities who have gone through cosmetic surgery include, Huddah, Vera, Akothee (her boobs so fine after 5 children), Kim Kardashian and Big Ted. We have not heard stories of them having any complications.

The most common complication that led to death was Kanye West’s mother who died after undergoing liposuction, a tummy tuck and a breast reduction.

Here are some of the complications one can undergo after a cosmetic surgery gone wrong.

  1. Unexpected Beauty Botches

Any time you tamper with the body’s balance, you risk creating new problem areas

2. Threats Below The Surface

Patients may never be fully prepared for the mental and emotional costs of cosmetic surgery, says Joseph Hullett, a psychiatrist and senior medical director of OptumHealth.

3. Hematoma

A hematoma is a pocket of blood that resembles a large, painful bruise.

Numbness and tingling are common after plastic surgery and can be signs of nerve damage. Most women experience a change in sensitivity following breast augmentation surgery and 15 percent permanently lose nipple sensation.

4. Infections

In breast surgeries, for instance, cellulitis (a skin infection) occurs in 2-4 percent of people. In some cases, infections can be internal and severe, requiring IV antibiotics.

5. Scarring

Surgery typically results in some scarring. Since cosmetic surgery seeks to improve the way you look, scars can be particularly troubling. Hypertrophic scarring, for instance, is an abnormally red and thick raised scar that occurs after 2-5 percent of breast augmentation procedures.

6. Organ Damage

Liposuction can be traumatic for internal organs. Visceral perforations or punctures can occur when the surgical probe comes into contact with internal organs. Repairing these injuries can require additional surgery. The perforations may also be fatal.

Health line.
