Kenyan singer Akothee is living proof that hard work pays.
Akothee whose story from grass to grace has always inspired many, is arguably one of the biggest secular stars in Kenya. Akothee whose hit song Give It to Me ft Flavour propelled her to national fame is a mother of five; two sons and three daughters.
Well, Akothee has added another award to her cabinet after she scooped the best video award with the song Benefactor in just concluded African Entertainment Awards, USA (AEAUSA).
The award-winning singer who recently revealed that she will be taking a break from social media was competing against Tanzanian crooner Diamond Platnumz, Nigeria's superstars Wizkid and Davido, Sauti Sol just to mention but a few in this category (best video award).
It's not clear whether Akothee is quitting music as well, her post below has left her followers confused.
"The account is coming down IN A FEW , tell me what you loved about following me & what you didn't like, tell me if I was a blessing or a curse by YOU following me , I have one word , I LOVE YOU & THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT THROUGHOUT MY MUSIC CAREER GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILIES," she posted.
