Former Machachari actor Ian Munene aka Almasi has been making headlines of late after he switched religions.

Almasi recently joined Hinduism and just like Hindus, the young Kenyan man is deep into the religion.

Most Hindus are vegetarians and they consider the cow to be a sacred symbol of life that should be protected and revered. They worship the animal, and Alamsi has been posting photos posing next to cows, 'praising' them.

In one of his posts, he posted photos of a cow and captioned,

Sweet connecting with Cows and Mother Earth ☺️

Not so long ago, he revealed that he has switched religions and even shared a photo he took inside a temple dancing with fellow worshippers.

'This isn’t the kinda picture I would normally post on here... but damn I just can’t help it! I’ve found something really beautiful... connecting to the divine through song and dance is the most ecstatic thing that could have happened to me!

In Christianity, we say “Hallowed Be Thy Name”... The name’s of the Lord which are unlimited just like the waves of the ocean are our means of deliverance in this day and age!

Everyone is being controlled by their mind and look at what that has done to people, turned them to care about nothing but money... to reach a social status... thinking that happiness comes from a good socio-financial setting.

True happiness comes from control of your mind and senses, and engaging this body, this temple you have temporarily for the service of the Lord. That’s our true purpose. That’s our source of happiness xAn easy process of being able to do this, is chanting of the coolest Mantra I’ve ever heard... ☺️☺️ HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HARE, HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE,' he captioned the above photo.

Almasi has been using hashtag #Monklife his photos, leaving his followers more confused.

A monk is a member of a religious community of men typically living under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

One of Almasi fans inquired more about his new religion and why cows were so significant.

'Ian Nene unielimishe ng'ombe inaashiria katika imani yako mpya ya dini? Huenda nikapata faida kutokana na elimu utakayonipa DM is okay,' read a question by the curious fan.

He responded explaining the importance of a cow in the religion.

Swali lako lanipa furaha.
