Linus Kaikai, the NTV General Manager has finally called it a day at the Kimathi street based media house. The multi-talented journalist, who has been in the industry for quite a while has found a new home.

According to sources, he might be heading to Citizen TV to replace Faridah Karoney, who was recently appointed the CS for lands by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a post he shared on social media, Linus Kaikai thanked the NTV team for being a great one and wished them nothing but the best.

"TO ntvkenya the greatest team on Kenyan television, thank you for your assurances and the epic journey we have walked together. As always, keep it sincere, professional and beyond reproach. God is Good, all the time," he tweeted.

Trevor Ombija, one of the best newscasters at NTV wrote an emotional letter to his outgoing boss Kaikai thanking him for holding his hand in the competitive media industry.

"You are by far the greatest boss we ever had @kaikailinus without you @gladys_gachanja and I would never have gotten here. Shine on sir, we know you had our backs all through and we hope we didn't let you down. #painfulgoodbyes#bestboss," read Ombija's message.

Other NTV staff among them newsreaders Larry Madowo and Smirti Vidyarthi also penned heartwarming messages to Linus Kaikai

"I owe my whole broadcast career to @kaikailinus; the best boss a journalist can ever ask for. I’m gutted to see him leave @ntvkenya today.‬ ‪It’s the end of an era here. It will never be the same again. Goodbye and good luck!‬" read Larry Madowo's message.

"A boss like no other! One I will never forget. @kaikailinus thank you for everything. Wishing you the very best in your future endeavors. You will be missed. @ntvkenya," wrote Smriti Vidyarthi.
