William Kamore better known as Kaymo, came to limelight after he did the song ‘Thitima’ with Stigah.
Despite his music, Kaymo is a family man and father to a baby boy. He shared with mpasho.co.ke the experience his wife went through before delivering.
To me, being a father has given me the best experience I have ever had. Despite my wife labouring for a very long time — about 36 hours — I was right there, unlike many men, who would run away if such a thing happened to them,” he said.
By that time, I was thinking so hard about her and if she is gonna make it, or is the baby is going to make it. It was very traumatising to me as a man.
What was even tougher for him to handle is the fact that she had a C-Section.
“She finally made it and when I saw our baby, tears just came out of my eyes. Getting the name also was not easy for us,” Kymo said.
“It was an experience I will never forget. Until now when I wake up each day, I look at the baby and just thank God.”
Kaymo is working on more projects for his fans. He has a new song, ‘Vuvuzela‘, inspired by the ongoing World Cup, basically about how we can celebrate Jesus in every season.
What inspires his song titles? “As an artiste, you need to think of titles that people will relate to. Ones that reflect people’s real life and those that suit your audience,” he said.
“Me and Stigah are establishing ourselves as individuals so we can get to establish solo brands. We didn’t break up beacuse we weren’t a group in the first place. “
