A workmate of the late actor Charles Bukeko a.k.a Papa Shirandula spoke out about his widow, Beatrice Andega.

During his funeral service in Busia, actor William Juma who plays the role of Papa's boss, Juma Anderson, opened up about his loss.

"I worked with Papa. When the coronavirus pandemic hit, it found me in the village where I was locked out. When he died, I received a lot of phone calls even from as far as Uganda."

Adding,

"But the phone call that scared me the most was one where a policeman from Meru called me. He is a cop from prisons he called sending his condolences and when he finished he told me, there is someone else who would like to talk to me. He told me it is one of the prisoners and since he cannot come for the funeral, he requested that I send his tribute and condolences to the family and fans of Papa."

Juma continued,

"This is to say, Bukeko was an entertainer who cut across all ages and has touched many lives."

The actor pointed out that in as much as they have shown support for Papa, they should also show support for his widow and children.

"Papa had a wife. When you see her she is very young, the same way you all gave Papa support, the wife is here....I come from Bumala and when a lady is widowed this young, elderly men and young men and brothers of the husband bundle together to help her so that other children don't come out looking different."

He concluded his tribute saying, "That is all I wanted to say."
