Losing a loved one is not easy, and it is also hard knowing what to say when condoling someone who has lost a spouse, child or a loved one.

Although there are no perfect things to say, here are things you should not say.

1-I know how you feel

Never say those words to someone who has lost a loved one.

You may have lost a lived one too.

But the circumstances were different and your relationship with him/her might have been different from that of the person you are condoling and the person they lost.

2- You will get another

This is used most especially when one has lost a child.

It's the most discpicable thing to tell someone.

How sure are you they are fertile anymore? Do you know how long they struggled to convince that one child?

Such comments should not be said out loud.

3-You are still too young

Happens when one becomes a widow or a widower.

Telling someone you are still young is uncalled for.

What if that marriage was a curse full of abuse? Unless someone want to remarry, let them be.

4-It was God's plan

The Bible says God's plans upon our lives are of good and not of evil.

And you telling a person who has lost a loved one is God's  plan that their live one is dead is sickening.

What other things shouldn't you tell someone in mourning?
