The late Ken Okoth breathed his last on the 26th of July 2019.

It has been a year on, and the huge gap he left can still be felt.

Remembering and celebrating his life, Kibra MP Imran Okoth his brother lead other MPs and constituents in celebrating his life.

In a tribute message, Imran penned,

"The people of Kibra and the people of Kenya lost a great son.

Ken, as he liked to be called, was a visionary leader who left an indelible mark on everyone he interacted with. He believed in everyone and supported them in all their endeavors. One remarkable trait that he had as a leader was that he listened to everyone, even the dissenting voices.

As a family, we still mourn him but we rest assured that he lived a full life and that his legacy continues to live on. Not just in Kenya, but around the world.

He continues to be remembered as a human rights champion and an educator.

The Okoth Family remains forever grateful and indebted to the people of Kenya for the immense support we received last year. We thank the constituents of Kibra for standing by me and allowing me to ensure that the work Ken started in Kibra continues. I shall continue to serve you with diligence.

May God bless each one of you.

#rememberingKenOkoth."
