Top news outlets in Europe and the US reported on Wednesday night that jihadist Samantha Lethwayte also known as “White Widow” has been taken down.
The Daily mail quoted Regnum, a news agency in Moscow, saying the British woman terrorist had been killed in Ukraine.
Samantha, 30, was apparently gunned down by a Russian sniper two weeks ago according to Regnum.
Lethwayte was linked to the Islamic terror group that carried out the Westgate shopping mall attack in Nairobi last year. The Muslim convert was also linked to a failed plot to blow up hotels and a shopping centre in Mombasa, in 2011.
She still remains one of the world’s most wanted women. She was reported last month as fighting for the Islamic State’s terrorists in Syria.
Daily Mirror reported on Thursday that Ukrainian special services had placed a $1million bounty on the head of the sniper who was said to have shot her dead.
