Television anchor Jacque Maribe and her fiance Joseph  'Jowie' Irungu were early today arraigned before Justice Jessie Lesiit at the Milimani Law Courts.

Both suspects denied killing Monicah Kimani and were taken back to their respective prisons until Wednesday this week, when they will appear in court again.

Jowie, whose family has been lying low like an envelope, was today surprised by his mother. He shared an emotional moment with her in court before taking plea in the Monicah Kimani murder case.

Jowie's friends have not uttered a word since he was arrested three weeks ago, and his family members are the only ones who've stood by him.

At one point, Jowie could be seen covering his face, and it's without a doubt he shed tears before the court resumed.
