Everyday in the news, there is an intriguing murder story of a dead body dumped at various places in the country.
The stories are replicated with different bodies but the location where the bodies are found almost always is the same place.
Here are various places that bodies have shown up.
1. Septic tank
A decomposing body was found inside a septic tank at Chokaa Estate off Kangundo Road on Monday, January 13, 2020.
According to a report by People Daily, the body was that of a 10-year-old girl who had been reported missing in September 2019.
The body was recovered by a construction worker at the estate in the evening.
This came just months after the body of the late billionaire Tob Cohen was found in a septic tank on Friday, September 13, 2019.
Cohen's body was found in his posh residence in Kitisuru after he was reported missing for 40 days.
His wife, Sarah Cohen, is still under probe following the gruesome murder of the tycoon.
2. Nairobi River
The Nairobi county government announced that their operation to clean up the trash-clogged Nairobi river led to the grisly discovery of 14 bodies.
Most of them babies and children, clean-up crews found the body of an eight-year-old boy who had been strangled and dumped near the Nairobi River, just days after the bodies of twin babies were discovered in a plastic bag
Also bodies of five adults were also found during the operation this year in the Nairobi River, and its tributaries the Ngong River and Mathare River.
3. Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi
Back in 2018, the Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi sub-county mortuary section was labeled among the most notorious dumping sites of unclaimed bodies in Kenya.
The Haki Africa Chief Executive Officer, Khalid Hussein said the morgue was home to dozens of bodies of people killed and dumped in Tsavo National Park along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
The CEO said most of the bodies were of people killed elsewhere and dumped at the region.
Hussein was speaking at Moi County Referral Hospital on Wednesday where Haki Africa donated detergents, gloves, gumboots, surgical blades and other protective wear valued at Sh50, 000 for morgue workers.
4. Tsavo Forest
Early, 2019 Six bodies were discovered decomposing at Kanga area in Tsavo Forest following a search by the areas Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers.
The bodies appeared partly burnt and officers from Mtito Andei Police Station suspected that they might have been murdered elsewhere and their bodies dumped there.
The cause of death was, however, yet to be established.
