Kibera born rapper Octopizzo has come out to support the legalization of weed. He stated that it should be as easily accessible to the public the way cigarettes are.

He added:

 At saa hii ugali ikiwekwa kwa roller uivute itakua na madhara because ni smoke. Ata ukichoma takataka

The hitmaker confessed that because of hardships in the slums he had once sold weed:

nishawai uza bangi nikiwa mtaani, time sikuwa na job. Nilikuwa nauza Napata pesa ya kutibu mtoto wangu.

He added saying many youths will be able to earn a living through the legalization of weed.
