Well, comedian-cum-emcee Dr Ofweneke is a great example of a grass to grace story. He has for the first time shared his untold story.

In a lengthy message he shared on Instagram, Dr Ofweneke has revealed that things weren't easy for him after school and he at one point worked as an MPesa agent and lived in a tiny single room in Nairobi's Kangemi estate. He wrote in part:

"Waaaaaah!! When I saw this photo on IG I just couldn't stop but thank God for this far I have come,"

Dr Ofweneke narrated how he worked up his way becoming one of the most sought-after comedians around.

He added:

"8 years ago with my first jobo as an MPesa agent this is how my first ever house in Kangemi looked like ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ A Kaluworks green stove,2 sufurias,a curtain that really wasnt hiding anything,two stainless steel spoons,a matteress that felt like sleeping on Supa Loaf slice of bread,an LG phone that costed 1,499/= which was a torch at the same time my home theatre,We would share bathroom with almost 5 other neighbours so youd find me with my towel and soap dish at the que just like everybody else freezing like a thin sausage,I would never lock the house at times even when am sleeping because I mean what are the thieves coming to steal unless steal my problems 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ At this point torn between the dream of bieng a top comedian and a top city lawyer at the same time 😆😆😆😆😆I think my neghbours thought I was gay because they never saw any girl come to my place.
