A story of a 13-year-old teenage boy, Samuel from JoyMax Academy in Eldoret town, has left many parents and guardians fearing for their children's live. Samuel was punished by his teacher for allegedly writing a love letter to a girl in the same school, a beating that left him nursing severe injuries.
Many children always go through hell at the hands of their teachers everyday, and Samuel's case is just among the few, with most of the cases going unreported as the victims are threatened into silence by the perpetrators.
