Some former Churchill Show comedians have launched a new satire show that will premiere on Sunday, February 26 on KBC Channel 1.
The directors of the show dubbed Comedy Arena have said they will give Churchill a run for his for his money while seeking to reclaim the national broadcaster’s lost glory.
It will feature some comics who cut their teeth under Churchill. Some of them are; Creative Generation, the duo that comprises of Mutumishi and Mchungaji, Fred Omondi and Othoul.
Whether the show will be successful or not only remains to be seen. In the past, comedians who left Daniel Ndambuki’s show to launch their own have failed miserably.
Some of them include; Eric Omondi, who launched a satire show dubbed Hawayuni on KTN but it failed to pick up. Others are Teacher Wanjiku and Sleepy David.
