Police on Saturday arrested two Maasai Mara University students who were found baking weed cakes in Narok.

Richard Omondi, 25, a student of Diploma in Tourism Wildlife and Elizabeth Abayo, 23, who is studying Computer Science, were nabbed with 56 cakes laced with bhang.

The students were arrested by intelligence officers in their rented hostel in Total estate.

Area OCPD Zachariah Kariuki said they recovered the 56 pieces of the cakes.

"They were selling each piece at Sh100 to fellow students and to the locals. We have also impounded other drugs and packs where they package the product,” Kariuki said
