Early this week thugs dug up the grave of Zari's ex-husband Ivan Semwanga to exhume his body but they did not succeed after dogs started barking interrupting their mission.

Ivan was buried in his ancestral home in Nakaliro village in Kayunga district, Uganda and money (in different currencies) was thrown in his grave by rich gang members as a memoir to his norm of making it rain while alive. Security was then deployed at the homestead to guard his grave to prevent people from digging it up to remove the money.

According to a relative identified as Ali Wamala, he was inspecting the compound when he noticed something unusual with Ivan Semwanga's grave.

"I was moving near the grave at around 1:00pm and I saw a hole at Ssemwanga’s grave. I moved closer to see what had happened," he told New Vision.

Ali also revealed that there have been rumours that witchdoctors are hunting for Ivan Semwanga's skull.

"We have been hearing rumours that witch doctors were in need of Semwanga’s skull which they want to use to give wealth to their clients in order for them to be rich like Ivan Semwanga." 

The police are investigating the matter and according to deputy resident district commissioner, Yahaya Were, the suspects will face the wrath of the law.

"This is a security matter and the police has already started investigating it to arrest the suspects for disturbing the peace of the dead," Were said.
