A man threw chilli powder in a man’s face before slicing his nostrils open with pliers and threatening to cut off his penis because he thought he was having an affair with his sister-in-law. Mahomed Girach carried out the frenzied attack on Ayub Lambat while he was leaning into the boot of his car outside his home in Leicester, United Kingdom.
The victim said his left eye was ‘on fire’ and that he could hardly see through his right eye. But when he went to wash out the powder in his kitchen, Girach followed him and lunged at him with a pair of pliers as he shouted:
“I’m going to cut your d*** off.”
He then used the weapon to cut open his septum, leaving Lambat covered in blood and hospitalised for five days. The court was told how Girach believed Lambat was having a secret relationship with his sister-in-law, but Lambat insists she is just a friend.
Girach, 60, is now facing jail after being found guilty at the Leicester Crown Court of causing actual bodily harm. Lambat told the jury that the attack took place in November 2014 when someone approached him from his left side. He then felt a burning sensation.
