'Wakenya watanimaliza!' Eric Omondi on breakup rumours with Chantal

Word on the street is that all is not well between Eric Omondi and his Italian bae Chantal.

Many claim that their relationship has hit rock bottom. It doesn't help that they haven't been posting each other on social media compared to a few months back.

In one of Chantal's Insta-stories posted back in November last year, Chantal shared a cryptic message about relationships, leaving many speculating if indeed there was trouble in paradise.

In a candid interview with Eric rubbished the breakup rumors saying they're still together.

But people have been saying 'all is not well in paradise' for five years, kwani hawajachoka? She's in curently in Italy.

The funny man added;

We still post each other but when she's away we don't until she comes back. I take a break [from posting] when she isn't around and focus on business and my stadium tour project. Hatutaki kubore watu.

A close source told Mpasho.co.ke that the comedian has been hanging out with a light-skinned woman. The two have been spotted out severally.

The source alleged that they even went for Etana's concert at Uhuru Gardens together after leaving Chipukeezy's show.

When asked about this, Eric defended himself,

Haki wakenya watanimaliza! Kenyans can break someone's marriage.

I have only one yellow yellow beautiful woman, who I take out for dinners and her name is Chantal Grazioli Omondi.

He says he's planning a big surprise in mid-June this year where he will go to Italy to pay Chantal's dowry.

Away from relationship matters, Eric is known for his viral videos that centre around current affairs. The most viral of his content is normally about a clueless and dramatic Kenyan slay queens.

The comedian explained his inspiration for the skits.

the culture in Nairobi inspired me to start doing the videos. Nairobi is run by slay queens and also, my sisters. They slay a lot. I've grown up with them, have female friends...so my content comes from things I see everyday.

It's something that people can relate to. I wanted to do something that when people see, they laugh and say 'by the way, it's true!'.
