City tycoon Chris Kirubi is known for his entrepreneurial skills. The flamboyant man has of late been sharing inspirational quotes on social media and encouraging the youth to invest.

Also read:

"Young people of Africa, wake up! Smell the tea, coffee, cocoa, minerals and other resources we have. Let each of us arm ourselves with the responsibility to manage our towns, cities, countries and the greater continent. #AskKirubi," read one of his recent posts.

Kirubi went ahead to advise Africans not to glorify foreigners and give them everything, but partner with them. He also urged entrepreneurs to help lift the economy of their own countries.

"People of Africa, do not glorify foreigners and give them everything, partner with them and if they are not interested let them go. You cannot be an observer in your own country and economy. Contribute to it, even with the little you may have; it may not be much but it’s a start. #AskKirubi."

In another post, he shared a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, which read:

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.

The business mogul is recuperating after undergoing surgery abroad last year, and photos of him still looking sickly are making rounds online.
