Have you ever been confused for somebody else? Whether in a good way or otherwise. Personally I have and it's never a good feeling at all. There was a time a certain hot chic from my hood confused me for a certain cobbler in our neighborhood, and I didn't like it. We met at the bus stop one chilly morning and she casually greeted me with a simple “hi” and even before I responded, she shouted “ulimalizana na ile kiatu yangu? I hope uliipiga uzi vizuri...”

At that point I moved to cut her statements short by telling her, with the meanest of attitudes, that I really wasn't who she was mistaking me for. With all the simplicity she could find, she said sorry and boarded a boda boda. I was hurt... A cobbler? Lol!

I didn't let her woes spoil my day, as I quickly dismissed that awkward episode, especially after recalling how I had put some other chiqa in a similar position in Mombasa. I had confused her for my ex and since we were no longer in talking terms and I had thought that bumping into each other at a far place would have broken the ice between us.

Former Nation FM Presenter Ciru Muriuki is not a happy lass! Reason? People keep on confusing her with some other chiqa whose name is almost similar to hers. Coincidentally, they both have dreadlocks and have had a radio career background.
