If you wake up everyday healthy, always thank God. Never take life for granted.

Citizen TV's Anne Mawathe who is currently in India has shared shocking revelations about her health.

In a long post, she shared on social media, the award-winning journalist revealed that she was diagnosed with a benign tumor and has been attending clinics in India and a lot of tests done on her after which she was declared free of cancer.

Benign tumors - Tumors are abnormal growths in your body. They can be either benign or malignant. They develop when cells in the body divide and grow at an excessive rate. Benign tumors are noncancerous growths in the body. However, unlike the cells in benign tumors, cancerous cells can invade nearby tissue and spread to other parts of the body.

"So on this day, I woke with lots of confidence. I had been attending clinics and had numerous tests done. Among them, a Pet MRI. This was the day I was going to get my results. I woke up and told myself that whatever the results? I want to live a full life. I want to cherish this life. And I walked in there like a winner. #backpain #benigntumors are things I know like a sad song but no...they don't steal me....the doctor said many things ..some big...some small but what I took to heart ".....with this attitude, you will manage". Hii maisha ni ya kuishi bwana alaaaar....tuendelee kuongea," she posted on social media accompanied by the photo below.

Mawathe's followers among them Lulu Hassan and Massawe Japanni congratulated her for being a brave and courageous fighter.

Massawe Japanni: A beautiful winner...in and out????
