Just like the way we migrated to digital TV, the same is happening with plastic bags. The government recently banned the use of plastic bags in Kenya and this has been welcomed by many including environmental campaigners, who say the bags litter Kenya’s streets, clog up its water systems and hurt animals.
Those producing, selling or even using plastic bags will risk imprisonment of up to four years or fines of Sh4 million/ $40,000.
Well, Kenyans have started embracing the plastic bag ban or rather the change and here are some of the hilarious photos and messages that have gone viral.
