Victoria Kimani is an exceptional Kenyan artiste. The success of her music is the envy of many as she has grown her name as a brand and is well recognized regionally but internationally too.

The American-born Kenyan singer is signed to Nigeria's Chocolate City, where she has released a number of songs and her first album 'Safari'.

When Victoria hits the studio, she means business and her songs are always well thought out.

Last year, Victoria unveiled the album, Safari in Nairobi on December 4 at the Tribe hotel at an exclusive listening party.

During the release party she said,“I make more of an attempt to explain myself and my music and let you know what Victoria Kimani is all about. I think that, it is only fair because as much as you are my people, how can you truly support an artiste you do not know too much about?”

She has been releasing music videos to her songs slowly, just to keep her fans eager and curious about her next offing. So far she hasn't disappointed.

Having been signed to Chocolate City for a number of years, it seems she's ready to branch out. She revealed that her  recent album, Safari is the last project she will be working on with them.

"Mann "these labels got me feelin independent!!!! " ????????⛓????But still I keep pushing cuz greater is HE that is in me than he that is in the world. SAFARI is my last project with .... Excited about what's NEXT! ❌," she said.

After making the major announcement, the public and music pundits started coming up with speculations on why she might have left the record.

Failed Renegotiations?

Renegotiations with the management on the renewal of her contract might not have bore any fruits, hence biding them goodbye.

She has worked with the label for years, plus she's proved to be worth their time and effort to build her.Renewing her contract shouldn't be that hard, unless they couldn't meet her needs.

Is She Joining Her Boyfriend's Production House?

She's a private person and when she introduced her boyfriend, it was quite a shocker. The ninja is the director of SOS Media Production, based in South Africa. Could she be thinking of joining her boyfriend's bandwagon and being part of the production industry?

Is It Time To Finally Settle Down In Kenya?

Victoria Kimani has been in Nigeria for a while since her record label is based there and even had a permanent residence she called home when she was in Lagos.

Se was only making trips back to Kenya on rare occasions, mostly when she was working on a specific project. She might be thinking of coming back home and focusing on her career while around her family and friends. Or better yet even starting her own record label.
