We all know that Kenyan men can be difficult to keep. They need loads of commitment and love being taken good care of. They're the kind of men who want you to be present; and I must admit that I am one of them. Not to say that we're little kids in mind, but to highlight the need to be smart if you need a lasting relationship.

Here are the five best tips you can use to win him on the first date, and never worry about ever losing him again.

1. Be timely

It's okay to come in second, but don't be late by an hour. It only shows that you're not serious with being his girl or you're an ignorant chick. Make an effort to arrive earlier than him if possible. In fact, that's the best thing to do. When you do that, you come across as caring and ready to listen to him. If you expect some sought of activity or situation that might make you late, make sure that you start your day early so that you get done in time.

2. Dress well

I personally prefer sexy and classy. Don't come to my date dressed up like you're running errands on a Saturday. Put on the correct lip gloss, do you hair nicely, put on a nice outfit (don't dress like you're going out clubbing) and show up. Your first impression matters most. That's what will tell him if you're his type or no. Most men prefer a lady who's dressed up in a respectable way and carries herself well.

3. Don't concentrate too much on your phone

You know, the problem with this generation is that our minds are entwined with social media. If a Twitter notification pops up, a lady will stop her man mid-conversation to check out what's up, burst out laughing then proceed to show her man that hilarious meme that 'killed her'. No, don't show this type of behavior on your first date. You'll loose.

4. Make a great conversation

Put on an intelligent conversation. Do not laugh unnecessarily, even at petty jokes. Avoid talking about materialistic stuff and goals, like cars and flashy homes. You might leave the wrong impression. Also, stay calm and enjoy the ambiance. You'll have a great time thereafter.

5. Use VipiApp
