Vanessa Mdee has been going through a tough time in the past few days after she was arrested with regards to drug trafficking.

Tanzania is working towards stopping drug abuse in the country and last month was all sorts of serious. Some celebrities were arrested and taken to court to answer on the said case. Some were let go on bail.

Vanessa was among those summoned by the police but she was not in the country at that time. She was in South Africa shooting the fourth season of MTV's 'Shuga'.

Upon arriving back in the country she was arrested and taken to the police station and she spent 5 days in a jail cell. Cash Madame must have had it rough in there.

But she was later on released and is back home with her family. None of her family members or friends said anything about the matter.

Well, Vanessa has finally spoken after leaving jail.

She took to twitter to announce that she was out and doing great and we should expect a new song in a week.

She tweeted, "I am doing so fine. In fact new music out THIS WEEK."
