Most ladies use henna on the skin for temporary 'tattoos' without knowing it has severe side effects, especially when its mixed with substandard ingredients.

A Kenyan lady by the name Elaine Wangui recently took to Facebook to caution other ladies against using henna after suffering serious consequences.

She said anyone who is planning to apply it should first know their skin types before having such thoughts.

Wangui posted a photo showing her swollen hands while saying that it should serve as a warning to other ladies not to use henna, especially the one that is referred to as 'piko'.
