Unyama Ulioje!! Stabbed Body Of MKU Student Recovered By Police In Parklands

Mt Kenya University fraternity is mourning the death of one of their own, after the body of Maxwel Kariuki was Found dumped In Parklands, near Limuru Road.

 The body which had stab wounds on the chest, was found at the junction of Limuru Road and Professor Wangari Maathai Road and the cause of the death is unclear.
According to police reports, another man who was rushed to MP Shah Hospital with similar wounds is under investigation to establish if he was behind it or if he was a victim.

Preliminary findings show the two may have been attacked in a matatu they were riding in before being thrown out. Police who rushed to the scene where the body of Kariuki was said to be, but they did not recover anything from him.
Kariuki was a fourth year law student at the university whose main campus is located in Thika. Matatus which are a common mode of transport have become notorious for throwing passengers out of moving vehicles or even colluding with gangsters to rob passengers.

Cases of stabbing are on the rise in the city. Police say thugs use the means to coerce and instil fear. Last week, three people were stabbed to death in an attack in Umoja area. The killers are yet to be arrested and efforts to track them are ongoing.
