A middle-aged woman and her underage children are currently languishing behind bars after they were arrested for being in the country illegally.

According to reports, the Ugandan citizen and her children, two girls and a boy, have been spending nights at Buruburu Police Station cells.

Her plight was shared on social media by a lady named Purity who said she had been taken to Thika Law Courts where the judge ordered that she be deported to her country.

After leaving court, the woman was then taken to her house in Kiambu and her belongings were confiscated.

She was briefly detained at Industrial Area Remand Prison before being taken to Buruburu Police Station.

The woman was told to stay with her children in the female cells until others who are in the country illegally like her are arrested so that they can be taken back together. This is truly heartbreaking.
