Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe was by Dennis Itumbi's as he appeared in court today after his arrest over a fake letter that sparked claims there were plans to assassinate deputy president William Ruto.

He spent his night in police cells ahead of today’s arraignment where police are expected to ask for two weeks to investigate the claims.

Police say they have established the letter is fake and was aimed at causing uproar in the country.

The DP had told president Kenyatta there were plans to assassinate him sparking investigations.

This has led to the arrest Itumbi and another blogger identified as only Sam.
