There has been beef brewing between Mbogi Genje and Gotta City. Gotta City explains the genesis for the protracted beef.

The group of four who are Stoopid Boy, Madocho, Pingo and Liyetin are the brains behind the song Monchoka and the phrase, 'kama unajinauwo vyenye unajinauwo momchoka'.

The group explains what Gotta City is and what they are all about. The name was derived from the capital of Nairobi.

The told Jalango, "Ni vile Nairobi ni capital city ya Kenya gotta city ni capital city of Nairobi ' according to the group, Gotta stands for - Gearing Over Trails and Temptations in Adulthood."

Recently, the group got involved in a fight with MbogiGenje the guys behind various hits like Kidungi, Ngumi Mbwegze and Wamocho.

The beef is over alleged stealing of lyrics by the Mbogi Genje.

Gotta City said,

"Mbogi Genje hawa wasee walikuwa ma ariff na hawa wasee tulikuwa tumetulia kimono ata wananauwo wanjua place fulani inatiwa dajo... tukikuwa tunatulia chuom moja walikuwa wanakam place wanatuset lakini sasa wakaanza kuleta zile za underation."

Adding,

"Unapata msee anacome anataka kuchachisha na shashula moja sasa inakuwa huyu msee kuna vyenye ananibeba ndogo."

They went ahead to explain that was not the only problem but also, a member of Mbogi Genje stole their lyrics and when they discussed it, deteriorated into a fight.

"Sasa akachukua mistari za Stoopid Boy. Kwa ile harakati Stoopid boy anacomplain pia kuna dem fulani anitwa Mungai Eve akaskia na hii story kuna vile....akasema hajui Stoopid Boy, smadi until vita ikatokea enye wakiwa wanachapa nini na wanapiga lyrics na stoopid boy sa hiyo ndio ikakuwa tulishukishana."

The lyrics they claim Mbogi Genje stole from them are in a song titled Wamocho.

Apart from that, they don't have anything else against Mbogi Genje.
