Ruth Matete is yet to bury her husband Beloved John Apewejoye who passed away after a gas explosion accident.

This is despite the postmortem report detailing the extent of his injuries and what led to his death.

The report state that Beloved John died from burn-related complications including sepsis, multiple organ failure.

Beloved John had 60% burn wounds on his body.

However, the investigating officers are still investigating the death, hence the reason why the date for Beloved John's burial hasn't been set.

His body is being preserved at the Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary.

Here is an outline of what sepsis is. It is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by the body's response to an infection.

The body normally releases chemicals into the bloodstream to fight infection. Sepsis occurs when the body's response to these chemicals is out of balance, triggering changes that can damage multiple organ systems.

If sepsis progresses to septic shock, blood pressure drops dramatically. This may lead to death.
