Sianto Marley, the reigning Miss Tourism Africa is about to take over the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week later this year. This is not the first time she's participating in a top pageant as in 2013 she was a finalist in Miss Tourism Kenya. This gave her mileage as later on, on Dec 10 2014 she was crowned Miss Tourism Africa in Venezuela.

Some of the stuff she's passionate about is community development and fashion modeling. She has a lighting project through which she helps light Maasai Manyattas in her community using solar lamps. She's recently modeled for fashion designer Angela Ola for her Ola cloth line:

So, how did she get this lucrative deal?

​"It was through a Kenyan designer of Yayana Fashions. It comes after my Miss Tourism Africa crown. The creative referred my fashion side to designer Tamil Robinson of Tamil and Robinson Group and Tim Waters CeO, In The Lyme Lyte Ent.," Sianto reveals on how this rare chance came to be a reality.

"Soon enough it was emails and the designer wants me to walk in the Mercedes Benz New York fashion week 2015 for the spring summer collection 2016 on September 12th 2015," she sound super excited.

This is something huge for her because we rarely have Kenyan models make it to the lucrative show. Some of the top international models who have taken part in the show include Milagros Maria Jose Schmoll and actress Jamie Brewer. Maria has modeled for Chanel, Lanvin, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and other top brands.

"I am excited; God keeps opening doors and I am honored to walk on the runway for that show. Godspeed for me!," she says. The excited beauty queen quipped with excitement as she shared a photo of Tamil Robinson's comment on her Instagram photo. He's excited to be working with her.

"It's great to have a true African queen on the project. For me it's all God's doing! Not mine at all! He gave me this talent and the more people say I can't, the more he opens doors for me. I'm looking forward to it!," the excited Sianto gushes.

The fashion week, held in various parts of the world, think Instabul, South Africa, Australia and Japan, takes place in February and September every year.
