President Uhuru Kenyatta has led Kenyans in celebrating the life of 52-year-old music icon, John DeMathew.

He died after a tragic road accident along Thika Road on August 18.

DeMathew’s burial ceremony is ongoing at Githambia Primary in Gatanga where the top central Kenya political brass together with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are in attendance.

The MC, Ben Githae welcomed a musician who sung with DeMathew to perform his song Njata Yakwa.

The president was invited to join the musician on stage and perform.

He obliged them.

Later, Sabina Chege was invited on stage to dance as well. She was featured as the love interest in the music video.

Sabina’s appearance on stage hyped the crowd who in turn cheered her on and danced to the popular song.
